Dining Bookings This Summer

Dear Members,

The SSCBC Food and Beverage team is looking forward to hosting you and your guests in our new Clubhouse this summer. Whether for a meal in the dining room, a drink on the Northern Deck or takeaway fish and chips from Couta’s on the beach, our new food and beverage menus with daily specials will be available across our outlets.

We have designed some parameters around our bookings to ensure that as many Members as possible can enjoy the facilities.

On Friday 9 December at 10am, bookings for the main dining room will open online via our website. See the Dining Bookings button at the top right hand side of the home page, or click here. Please note, our telephones are not operational at this time, so all bookings must be made online, with queries emailed to Ainslee at [email protected].

Please note the following plans:

Trading Hours
7 days from 26 December 2022 – 29 January 2023.
Boxing Day – Northern Deck and Couta’s will be open from 12 – 8pm.
The Dining Room
There will be no formal breakfast served in the dining room.
Open for lunch daily from 12pm, dinner from 5:30pm, last food orders 9pm.
Members only (no guests) for dinner only from 27 December until 8 January (inclusive).
Maximum of two guests per Member for dinner from 9 January.
To ensure fair access for all our Members, our maximum table size is 10 persons.
Members’ Bar and Northern Deck
Members can sit on the Northern Deck from 8am, however, there will be no service until 12pm. This is due to staff shortages. You are welcome to purchase your breakfast and coffee from downstairs at Couta’s and enjoy it on the deck.
Lunch is available from 12pm, and dinner menu from 5:30pm, last food orders 9pm.
Guests are allowed at any time on the Northern Deck or Couta’s (signed in by a Member). No bookings for the deck, walk-ins only, order and pay at the bar, as per prior years.
Couta’s, supported by Clamms Seafood
Takeaway hot and cold breakfast and coffee is available daily from 8am.
Fish ‘n’ chips and other delicious lunch options from 12pm, last food orders at 7pm.
Ice cream and snacks available all day.
Alcoholic bar service from 3pm.

 

Given the challenges of opening our new facilities so close to summer and that staff shortages are being felt across the Peninsula in F&B, we are operating with a smaller and more inexperienced team than usual, and we ask that all Members be patient and understanding. In particular, we are constrained by the number of baristas we have, so we expect that there may be a long wait for coffee in peak times. Regardless, as always, we will be doing our best to deliver the most accurate, efficient and family-friendly service we can. As the peak of summer subsides and staffing (hopefully) becomes less of an issue, we will look to increase our offerings and options.
